Wedding Photographer FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you insured?

Yes, I am. I have public and liability insurance.

Do you bring back-up camera?

Yes, always. I have professional Canon cameras and several lenses alone with couple of flashes and batteries.

How many photos do you take?

There is no limit to how many photos I take on the day. On average I take about 300-600, depending on the package and size of the party. I do include detailed shots such as flowers, rings, shoes, hair, etc. that are ideally suited for the story album. You will be presented with the best photos I took.

Is it possible to get photos in black and white?

Yes, of course. I will edit the photos from colour to black and white or sepia or retro as I see fit. All photos are taken in colour.

Do you take formal or group photographs?

I do both if required. I advise the bride and groom when would be the best time to take photos of family and friends together and also the group shot and where.  I research the venue in advance so that I can confirm best place to do the shoot. Also I advise to pick a member of your party to be responsible for gathering the family and guests to avoid losing time before the reception meal. This will be discussed during the meeting.

How long do you stay on the day?

Depending on the package you choose I will come in early before the start of the day and finish at the reception meal. I can stay longer if required. If I am asked to stay until first few dances I would appreciate a meal to keep my energy going. Most wedding venues provide this. Check with your wedding co-ordinator.

Who will take the photographs?

I will alone. This gives me more control of photography.

If the weather is bad, how do you deal with it?

A good photographer should be able to capture pictures in all weather conditions. I have the experience of dealing with it and have the equipment to enhance pictures using flash if required and also I have two specially made white umbrellas for your use thus allowing for more light on your face.

How early should I book my wedding photographer?

Well, as early as possible. I am available on a limited time per year.  Summer time, special days such as Bank Holidays and Christmas week tend to be booked up very quickly. If booking a wedding photographer is important to you (which I hope it is), you will want to book as early as possible even if your date does not fall inside the busy periods. It would be a good idea to check dates with your photographer and book with a small deposit.

What happens if I do not wish to be on your website?

I understand your concern. I do have a contract that allows me to use your photos for publication on my website. I would not mention your full name, address, phone numbers or anything like that on my website. My website is my main marketing tool that helps me to expand my business which is a huge help to me. The article will first be approved by you before going on publication. For any other publications such as external wedding sites I will certainly ask for your permission.

How long does it take until I can see my photographs?

Depending on the package ordered it varies between 3 to 6 weeks and also depends on time of year such as summer season. I will advise accordingly.

What happens if I cannot make up my mind on the package?

That happens and I know what it is like. I advise to pay me the non-refundable deposit of € 250 to secure the date against the standard package and advise the balance due on day of wedding. Any extras ordered after the wedding such as wedding package upgrade or products offered would be paid in full before the products are delivered.

How to book you?
Contact me to check availability, then I will send you the wedding agreement form via email and ask for the deposit. You can pay by cheque, paypal, bank transfer or cash. Your date is fully secure on deposit and signed agreement.
