Beautiful civil ceremony wedding in Number Six, Kildare Street :: John & Louise

How about having a civil ceremony wedding reception all under one roof!!? This beautiful old, recently restored and modernised building of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is stunning with beautiful colours to blend in with the colourful arrival of wedding guests to suit the mood of the wedding celebration. I was mesmerised by the beauty of the decor and glamour of the wedding reception, and was delighted to be given the opportunity to photograph John and Louise’s wedding.

The bride made a grand entrance with her loving father to the pale blue Graves Hall, where the civil ceremony would take place. After about an hour the guests walked towards the famous Dun Library where guests were offered drinks and finger foods. I had the time to take photos of the newly married couple in various places including the Dun Library, the grand stair entrance and of course the famous Kildare street outside with a picture of the police standing by the Dail! The weather was just glorious; and we took our chance to get outside for a bit before settling back for another group photo session with family and friends.

Finally, before it was time for me to finish the job, the bride and groom had a cutting of the cake shot to do before strolling down the hall towards the Corrigan hall where the reception dinner was taking place. I had a sneek peek of the grand room before the guests arrived and admired the design of the wedding tables and chairs. Congratulations to the new Husband and Wife!
