I remember this wedding very well. I met this lovely couple who found me through the Wedding Fair exhibition in the RDS and asked me to meet them for discussion about their wedding in the Burlington hotel. They were very excited about their wedding. The ceremony was to take place in Culmullen Parish Chruch which I thought was one of the beautiful church I have ever seen. Inside the church you see the building made of stones with beautiful stain glasses. The sun shone thus resulting in a beautiful warm feeling of the wedding day. I was lucky enough not to use too much flash. When the ceremony finished I suggested to the wedding couple after taking pictures of the guests coming out of the church, to take pictures of them alone next door which happens to be in a field of corn. It was the right time of year and the perfect setting of the beautiful mustard corn field in the background for the couple alone to enjoy being the new Man and Wife!
About forty minutes drive later we arrived in the Radisson Hotel St. Helen’s Hotel and was greeted by guests and a flow of champagne. I set out to take more pictures of the guests discreetly before setting up a family and friends photo shoot with the bride and groom. The five star hotel has a lot of potential offering a variety of choices for photography including the front garden with its own fountain, the inside of the hotel (in case it rains) and the back garden with beautiful variety of flowers and trees.
